Courtney Bostwick is a recent graduate of Metropolitan State University of Denver with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance where she studied with soprano, Michelle Diggs Thompson. She was awarded second place in the Colorado-Wyoming District Student Auditions of the National Association of Teachers of Singing and was the recipient of the Denver Lyric Opera Guild Scholarship for 2015–2016 and 2016–2017. While at MSU Denver, Courtney had the opportunity to perform the complete role of La Contessa in Le nozze di Figaro, Hanna Glawari in The Merry Widow and Papagena in The Magic Flute. Ms. Bostwick was also active in the scenes program where she performed as Susanna from Le nozze di Figaro, Lucia from The Rape of Lucretia, the Fairy from Cendrillon and Zerbinetta from Ariadne auf Naxos. She has been selected to sing solo literature in three specialized recital events given by the MSU Denver vocal studies area as well as a solo portion of Messiah with the university’s combined choirs. Most recently, she attended the Vocal Arts Festival where she performed in scenes from La fille du regiment as Marie where she studied with world-renowned soprano and teacher, Martile Rowland.
