Alexa received her Bachelor of Music degree with honors at Elon University’s highly acclaimed Music and Theater program. Upon graduation, she accepted an opportunity as a lead singer on Holland America’s cruise line, touring the world for a year. She’s won first place in several vocal competitions, including the National Association of Teachers of Singing (N.A.T.S.) and Young Stars of the Future. A native Californian, she began private voice lessons when she was 5 years old. She attended the Orange County School of the Arts’ Musical Theater program for six years. She most recently moved from Portland, Oregon, where she led and managed her original folk music project, Wildish, for which she wrote, sang and played the mandolin. While in Portland, she landed a lead vocal spot in a national commercial for McDonald’s and Coca-Cola. As a recent transplant to Boulder, Alexa continues to grow her roots in her own creative musical projects, exploring using her voice and other instruments in new ways and sharing that with the surrounding area. Alexa teaches private vocal lessons where her main intention is to help people in finding their own, true authentic expression. She desires to create a safe and open space where the student can feel welcomed into their own creativity while having a lot of fun.
