Haley Lauritzen

Haley Lauritzen is currently an undergraduate student at the University of Colorado Boulder working towards her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Piano Performance under the guidance of Dr. Robert Hjelmstad. She began taking piano lessons from the young age of five from many exceptional teachers and has continued to grow in her love and passion for music ever since. She has placed highly in multiple competitions within the Music Teachers’ National Association and regularly accompanies vocalists, dancers, musicals, and solo instruments. Additionally, she is actively involved with multiple chamber music groups and has performed a wide range of collaborative repertoire including many quartets and orchestral pieces. 

Her studio centers around kindness, encouragement of curiosity, and nurturing of creativity in all of her students. She wishes to inspire each of her students to make music throughout their whole lives, whether they have a long-term professional career in mind or just wish to play music for fun. Haley hopes to instill a love of music in each individual that comes through her studio, helping to develop the whole musician. She aims to work with her students on artistry, technique, and mindset, building on a classical foundation and exploring different musical styles. Haley hopes to cultivate a judgment free zone designed to cater individually towards each student’s needs, helping them to achieve their goals, hopes, and musical dreams while helping them grow in both their strengths and weaknesses. She is excited to work with students at Parlando and share her passion for the piano!
