Commissioned Composers Project
Where new music comes to life
Each year, Parlando students premiere brand new works, created for them by working composers.
How it works
A piece of music, from idea to premiere
This project connects students to the full artistic process, from a composer's first idea through rehearsal to a debut performance. Students have the opportunity to be the very first person ever to perform a piece of music, an experience that stays with them long after the final note. We hope everyone who takes part, students, composers, and audiences alike, walks away inspired to go home and create something of their own.
