Parland in Concert!

Do you hear the people sing?
The Music of Les Misérables & 2025 Season Reveal

Join us at one of two intimate experiences featuring:
-The premiere of our Parlando Choir;
-Exquisite Faculty and Guest Artist performances;
-The Reveal of our 2025 Theatrical Season; and
-Travis & Christine LaBerge performing a new 4-hand Les Mis piano overture, written by Solomon Chapman, Sr!

Friday Evening, November 1 at 7pm: Raise your cups and enjoy hors d’oeuvres by Blackbelly at our soirée élégant while mingling with Jean Valjean and the Thénardiers at the pre-concert reception and silent auction beginning at 6pm.

Saturday Afternoon November 2 at 2pm: Enjoy refreshments from Moxie Bread Co at our matinée au Café ABC performance. Doors open at 1:30.

Proceeds from both events will support Parlando’s 2025 Theatrical Season and take place at:

Parlando on Pearl

Each fall, Parlando takes over the back patio of Trident Cafe for performances of any and all things pop music. Our 2024 event will take place on Sunday, 10/6, from 1-3pm, and this year, we’re adding a RAFFLE!

Commissioned Composer Project

This project connects students to the full artistic process-from the idea for a piece from its composition to its debut performance. Students have the opportunity to be the first person ever to perform their particular work, which is an incredibly empowering experience. We hope that anyone who participates in or encounters this project comes away feeling joy, wonder, excitement, and inspiration. We hope students, composers, and audiences walk away feeling hopeful about the future of classical music and inspired to go home and create something themselves!

Our 2024 New Works Performance took place on Friday, April 26, 2024, in the Grace Gamm Theatre at the Dairy Arts Center. Information about our 2025 project will be available in September of 2024.
