Brittany Bonner
Brittany Bonner (oboe/English horn) has a versatile career that includes performance, education and community engagement in the Boulder County area and beyond. Striving to meet the individual needs of each student, Ms. Bonner teaches lessons that focus on key concepts of playing the oboe such as establishing a beautiful tone, proficient technique, and concepts of musical phrasing. She completed her Master of Music degree at the University of Colorado Boulder and has performed with numerous orchestras, including the Colorado Symphony, Boulder Philharmonic, and the Boulder Chamber Orchestra. Before coming to Colorado, Ms. Bonner grew up in Texas and graduated cum laude from Baylor University, where she was named the Presser Foundation Scholar and made her solo debut with the Baylor Symphony Orchestra as the winner of the School of Music’s Concerto Competition. Ms. Bonner’s primary teachers include Peter Cooper, Doris DeLoach, and Jason Licthenwalter. Outside of music, Ms. Bonner enjoys kayaking, hiking, and time with friends.
