Courtney Navarre

Courtney Navarre (she/her)recently relocated back to Colorado after spending a couple years in Kansas City. She holds a Masters Degree in Voice Performance from the University of Missouri- Kansas City Conservatory as well as a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Metropolitan State University of Denver. She has also attended the Vocal Arts Festival in Colorado Springs as well as the Brancaleoni International Music Festival in Piobicco, Italy. Recently, Courtney was seen as Madame Goldentrill in The Impresario with Midwest Opera Theater. Other performance credits include Sandrina in La finta giardiniera, Clarina in La cambiale di matrimonio, Cinderella in Into the Woods, Jou-Jou in The Merry Widow, Mother Abbess in Sound of Music, La Contessa in Le nozze di Figaro, Hanna Glawari in The Merry Widow and Papagena in The Magic Flute. She has also been a soloist in Vesperae solonnes de confessore and The Messiah. Courtney loves performing new works and has premiered vocal works both in Kansas City and Colorado. She was recently a finalist in UMKC Conservatory’s Concerto-Aria Competition.

Since being at Parlando, Courtney has enjoyed working as a director and music director. Directing/music directing credits include: Frozen Jr, Honk Jr, Xanadu, Alice in Wonderland Jr, Little Shop of Horrors, and Into the Woods. As an educator, Courtney believes that everyone can find their voice. She helps students to find free, healthy singing in a wide variety of genres. As a performer, she values flexibility to sing anything from musical theater to opera to commercial music and strives to give her students the same flexibility. Having studied piano for many years, she also teaches voice and piano combo lessons. Courtney currently lives in Westminster with her fiancée Nicholas Navarre and their dog, Wesley.
