Elle Tyler

$0.00

Elle Tyler believes any person of any age and any ability can engage in a musical life. She has been teaching in Colorado and for Parlando since 2011, and received her B.A. from Indiana Wesleyan and M.M. from CU-Boulder (studying with Scott Mayer, Phoenix Park-Kim, Andrew Cooperstock, & Alejandro Cremaschi).

Elle teaches her students to be active listeners who can find, diagnose, and overcome their own musical obstacles. In addition to building a strong musical literacy foundation, Elle incorporates playing by ear, reading and arranging lead sheets, improvising and music theory into lessons.

When not teaching piano lessons, or out for a run, Elle leads various forms of music classes for young children and families, accompanies musical theater and musicians of all ages, performs as a solo pianist and with her duo partner, Sonya Clark, and fronts the band “The Bootlegger’s Wife” with her middle-school-band-director-husband, Ben. She loves being a part of the Parlando family!
