


Sam Jarvis
Violinist Sam Jarvis grew up in Boulder and graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in violin performance, studying with Claude Sim and Alex Gonzalez, as well as a bachelor’s in chemistry. Since graduating, Sam has been active in various ensembles in the Front Range area, and is currently the Assistant Concertmaster of the Cheyenne Symphony and Greeley Philharmonic Orchestras and a section member of Fort Collins Symphony, in addition to regularly playing with Boulder Symphony and Symphony of the Rockies. Sam is an alumnus of the 2022 and 2024 seasons of the National Repertory Orchestra, and was a principal player in the World Youth Symphony Orchestra at Interlochen Arts Camp in 2019. Outside of classical music, he enjoys expanding his horizons with improvisational styles of playing, including jazz, funk and rock. When not making music, Sam can typically be found reading, cooking, or exploring his beautiful surroundings on foot or via bike.
