Scott Laurence

$0.00

Originally from New York, Scott moved to Boulder, Colorado in 2019 with his
wife and son.

Scott knew he was meant to be a musician from an early age. When he was
given a guitar from a friend in high school, he played it nonstop. Somewhere
along the way, it became obvious that he would keep at it his whole life.
Playing and teaching guitar is a passion for Scott, and he is fortunate to be
able to share his rich musical experiences with his students.

Through the years, Scott has collaborated with singer/songwriters and
recorded several albums with various artists. He formed instrumental rock
bands (HIGH NORTH and VIU) and toured along the US East coast. He is also
passionate about collecting and playing vintage pedals and guitars and can
guide you to find the instrument and tone that is right for you.

Hugely influenced by the music of the 60s and 70s, Scott has created his
unique blend of atmospheric rock that goes from dreamy soundscapes to
heavy riffs and everything in between. Having played hundreds of shows
since the early 2000s, he’s well versed at forming successful bands and
rocking out on stage.

Scott customizes his lessons based on the goals of his students. Even if you
never picked up a guitar before, Scott’s patient approach will have you
playing songs and having fun from the first lesson. Do you want to learn the
techniques of songwriting? Form your first band? Understand chords, scales,
and theory? Improve upon the skills you already know and bring your playing
to the next level? Scott can guide you to reach your musical goals.
Scott also enjoys interviewing musicians & artists on their creative process
for his podcast “Frequency Range.” In addition, he records and plays shows
with his original band and his cover band.
