Our areas of community outreach

School Outreach

Parlando’s school outreach program MORE (Music Outreach providing Resources and Education) for Colorado provides necessary supplementary support to school music programs throughout Colorado with a focus on Title 1 and low-income schools, as well as schools serving majority non-white populations.

Early Childhood Programming

Key to Parlando’s mission is to provide quality music education for ALL, especially low income and marginalized communities. Part of our early childhood music initiative is to bring on-site, weekly music classes to low income schools at no charge to the schools or students.

Julie’s Program

Named in honor of one of our founder’s sisters, and funded in large part through an annual gift from The Ida Fund of the Community Foundation Serving Boulder County, “Julie’s Program” brings music to people in our community who are living with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

Intergenerational Programming

Intergenerational programming was one of Parlando’s core programs when we first began operations in 2003. Providing lessons, classes, performances, and other music and arts programming for our community’s elder population remains an important part of what we do.
