Catherine Jaicks

CATHERINE JAICKS, soprano and Chicago native, is a recent graduate of the University of Colorado Boulder with a Master’s degree in Voice Performance and Pedagogy. During her time at CU, she appeared in many Eklund Opera productions including La Traviata, La Bohème, and Cendrillon (Noémie). Other credits include: Le Nozze di Figaro (Countess), Lucy (Lucy),L’indedelta delusa (Sandrina), Wuthering Heights (Catherine). Catherine’s academic research is focused on vocal health, completing a thesis titled Singers Who Menstruate: Considerations for Teachers of the Menstruating Voice.Catherine has taught voice lessons for 4+ years and prides herself on tailoring lessons to each student’s unique goals. Though trained as a classical singer, Catherine’s wide musical interests include jazz, rock, musical theatre, folk, and electronic music.  Whether looking for audition help or using singing as a therapeutic hobby, Catherine incorporates ear training, music literacy, as well as healthy technical instruction to meet the needs of any student.Catherine also holds a Bachelor of Music from the College of Wooster (2018).
