Danielle York
Danielle York is a dedicated musician and educator currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts in Horn Performance and Pedagogy at the University of Colorado, Boulder. She holds a Master of Music in Horn Performance from Louisiana State University and a Bachelor of General Studies, with concentrated studies in Voice and Brass Performance, from Missouri Southern State University.
As a versatile artist, Danielle has performed with professional ensembles including the Colorado Symphony, Chamber Orchestra of the Springs, Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra, and Opera Louisiane, as well as the BRACE New Music Choir and additional regional ensembles as a vocalist and hornist. Her passion for student experience is evident in her teaching and administrative roles within arts organizations, where she has worked with students of all ages and abilities. Danielle has held staff positions with arts organizations such as the Tanglewood Music Festival and the LSU College of Music & Dramatic Arts.
An experienced teacher of brass, piano, and voice, she is committed to fostering growth in her students through a personalized and thoughtful approach. Students of all ages, interests, and backgrounds are welcome in her studio. Outside of music, Danielle enjoys exploring nature with her husband, spoiling their two cats, and learning friends’ favorite recipes.
