Max Warnock
Max Warnock is a recent graduate of the College of Music at the University of Colorado Boulder where he completed a degree in piano performance under the guidance of Dr. Andrew Cooperstock. He enjoys performing a wide variety of piano repertoire and wants to share his love for music with his students. As a piano teacher with over three years of experience, Max considers the goals of each student and works to provide a well-rounded musical foundation to help them succeed. He believes that with dedication, everyone is capable of becoming an excellent musician.
Max’s childhood experiences at the piano have shaped his perspective as a teacher. He is very thankful to his mother (also a piano teacher), who sparked his interest in music at a young age, and inspired him to continue with piano in college. During his degree, he studied piano pedagogy under Dr. Alejandro Cremaschi, and participated in the Hidden Voices research project which involves recording and documenting music written by African American women composers. He is a member of Music Teachers National Association, and was president of the Delta Rho chapter of Mu Phi Epsilon from 2023-2025. He is the 2025 winner of the Mu Phi Epsilon Foundation Eleanor B. Weiler and Mildred B. Frame Piano Scholarship for study in France. During summer 2025, Max attended a chamber music program in France where he performed at a variety of venues in Paris and Aix-en-Provence.
Max has a broad range of interests, and in addition to his music degree, he completed a B.A. in Geography. He also enjoys spending time in the mountains, riding his bike, and playing board games with friends and family.
