More than just lessons

What's included with your enrollment

Private lessons at Parlando come with access to a full community of musicians. Every enrolled student is invited to participate in the following — all included with your tuition.

Semester recitals

Every student has the opportunity to perform in a semester recital — a supportive, celebratory event that gives students a real stage and a real audience.

Chamber music

Free to any registered Parlando student at any level or age. Small ensemble groups are a wonderful way to build musicianship and connect with other musicians. Adult and advanced options are also available.

Third Thursdays and community performances

Parlando hosts regular community performance events throughout the year — informal, welcoming, and open to students at all levels.

We are incredibly thankful for the way our instructor has nurtured my child's love of music. His guidance has helped him become not only a stronger pianist, but a more focused and confident young musician.

Questions we hear most

How does teacher matching work?

When you enroll, we match you with a faculty member based on your instrument, learning goals, schedule, and teaching style preferences. Every teacher is different, if the fit isn't quite right, we're happy to explore other options.

Can I switch teachers?

Yes. We want you to find the right fit. If a teacher isn't working for you, contact us at info@parlando.org and we'll work something out.

Are online lessons available?

Yes, all instruments are available online. Many students prefer the flexibility of learning from home, and our faculty are experienced with virtual instruction.

What if I want to take a break or stop?

Sometimes frustration is temporary. A different teacher, a different lesson length, or even a short break can change everything. We're here if you'd like to explore options.

What instruments do you teach?

Piano, violin, viola, cello, guitar, bass, ukulele, voice, flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, saxophone, trumpet, French horn, trombone, tuba, and percussion, and if you don't see your instrument listed, contact us. Our faculty roster is broad.
