Ashley is currently a Doctorate student in Collaborative Piano at CU Boulder. She has been teaching children and adult piano lessons since 2018. She believes that having a fun and fulfilling beginning at the piano sets the path for a future of learning for any student. She also prioritises effective learning and practice techniques in her teaching - seeing consistent and visible improvement, and having clear goals with practice plans minimises feelings of boredom and aimlessness at the piano outside of class, as well a reduces chances of injury and maximising the enjoyment of music. While her training and upbringing has been mostly in classical solo piano and collaborative piano, she love chamber music as well as pop music, and is able to adapt to a wide range of learning requests and preferences as required by her students.
